Ok! First ever tutorial. Please be kind and if there’s anything that you’re not clear on, there are a million wonderful tutorials out there. Search: turquoise water marble tutorial.
⃣ You will need: @opi_products Bonder (base coat), Black Vinyl (black polish) and My Lifesaver (teal polish), Sally Hansen Golden Eye (gold polish), lukewarm water in a party cup, a small brush for clean up, Bactine (antibacterial spray), @orlynails Instant Artist in black, a toothpick and Seche Vite!
⃣ Paint clean nails with protective base coat and teal polish. Use scotch tape to protect the skin around the nail bed.
⃣ Generously drip black polish into lukewarm water. This step is tricky. The water temp has to be perfect and you may have to dump out and redrip the black polish a few times to get it to spread correctly. Use a new polish bottle. Old polish may be too gloppy. Drip 2-3 drops into the water.
⃣ QUICKLY spray Bactine into the drops that have spread out until you get the right consistency of holes. This step is also a pain. Do not put your finger in the black polish until you have the perfect holes! When you spray the Bactine, give it a few seconds to spread out the polish. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Scrape out the polish, dump it and try it again. 😭
⃣ Carefully lay your taped finger into the water. Use a toothpick to pick up the rest of the polish that is floating on the water before you take your finger out.
⃣ Take off the tape carefully. Use your small brush to clean up the cuticles. Thanks to the tape, this should be easy! 😉
⃣ Use your @orlynails Instant Artist and fill in any parts of the black that are too thin or too bare.
⃣ Put globs of abstract gold paint (either on top of the teal or black bits- whatever evens the design out).
⃣ Seche Vite your turquoise nails and show them off ☺
